Action:

  • To make mango modak first, soak mangoes in water for some time. After that remove the peel and cut the mango into pieces and put it in a mixer bowl to make a paste.
  • Heat ghee in a pan and fry dry fruits in it and take it out. After that add ghee and add wet coconut kiss to it and roast it. Then add jaggery and mango gar according to taste and mix well.
  • Add cardamom powder and roasted dry fruits to the prepared mixture and mix until the mixture thickens. After the mixture thickens, switch off the flame.
  • Heat 1 glass of water in a pot. Mix half a cup of milk and a teaspoon of ghee in hot water. Then add mango juice and take it off the boil.
  • After boiling the mango mixture, add the rice flour to it and mix with a spoon and turn off the heat after taking out a steam. Knead the rice flour well after it cools slightly.
  • Make small balls of the dough and make it Pari. After making the pari, fill it with the mango mixture and cover it with Modka black pepper.
  • To steam the modaks, heat water in a pot and place a strainer of modaks on it. You can also apply saffron on the modak to make it look more beautiful.
  • Steam the modak properly for 15 minutes. After that, sprinkle water over the steamed modaks and serve the modaks.
