Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has once again said a big thing about Sanatan culture and the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Participating in Maa Bhagwati Jagran organized at Selaqui, Dehradun, the Chief Minister said that since 2014, a big change has started in the country. He stressed that not only is development taking place under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, but this is also a period of ‘golden renaissance’ of Sanatan culture. Actually, the Chief Minister had reached here in a program organized by Adyashakti Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Dham Seva Samiti, where he prayed for the prosperity of the state.
The Chief Minister said that the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya is not just the erection of a building, but it is a victory of faith and self-respect of crores of Indians. He said that the way the Central Government has shown determination, it has ended the wait of centuries. According to Dhami, from Kashi Vishwanath Corridor to the reconstruction of Kedarnath, today India’s cultural consciousness is getting new energy everywhere.
Flood of faith in Chardham Yatra
Referring to the Chardham Yatra, which is considered the lifeline of Uttarakhand, the Chief Minister also shared an important data. He told that till now more than 3 lakh devotees have had darshan of Baba Kedar in the yatra which started from April 22 this year. It is being told that this figure is a proof of the unwavering faith of the devotees towards Uttarakhand. The state government is now also promoting winter travel, so that the flow of pilgrims continues throughout the year and the local people get new employment opportunities.

Dhami spoke not only on faith but also on modern infrastructure. Giving the example of Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor, he said that now the journey from Delhi to Dehradun is being completed in just two and a half hours. Sharing his experience, he said, “I myself recently reached Dehradun from Delhi in a very short time, which was not possible earlier.” Apart from this, the ropeway being built for the Sikh holy shrine Hemkund Sahib and the increasing craze for Adi Kailash Yatra have boosted the economy of the border areas.
Collective responsibility to protect cultural identity
The Chief Minister also appeared emotional during the program. He said that it is a matter of good fortune to be born in Devbhoomi, but those who have come and settled here are equally fortunate. He gave a clear message that it is the responsibility of the government as well as the general public to safeguard the cultural heritage and divinity of the state. Dhami finally said that the government is working on the mantra of ‘resolution without option’, where equal importance is being given to both development and heritage.
