Mumbai: Veteran actor Mukesh Khanna, known for his role in Shaktimaan, has sparked discussion on social media with his remarks about marriage and personal life.
At the age of 67, Khanna remains unmarried and has shared his views on love and marriage in a recent interview with “The Filmy Charcha”.
He clarified that he has not rejected the idea of marriage. “My life partner must already exist somewhere. When destiny decides, we will meet. If marriage had to happen, it would have happened by now. But the right time has to come,” he said.
Speaking about relationships, he said that loyalty is important in marriage. He questioned why expectations are often placed only on women and said that both partners should remain committed to each other after marriage.
Khanna also stated that it is wrong to assume he does not believe in marriage just because he has not married. He added that true love happens only once in life, and the rest is attraction or infatuation.
The actor has often been in the news for his outspoken statements. In 2020, during the MeToo movement, he faced criticism for remarks related to women working and social issues.
Despite repeated criticism, Khanna has maintained that he stands by his views and continues to express his opinions openly.
