The PSL 2026 final match between Peshawar Zalmi and Hyderabad Kingsmen at Gaddafi Stadium took a significant turn in the later overs, when a superb yorker by Nahid Rana had removed Hunain Shah. It was a well delivered yorker, bowled at pace with swing into the batter who just had no idea about the delivery as it crashed into the stumps and ended Hunain's innings at a crucial juncture while trying to flick it.
The dismissal had an added discussion after it, owing to Nahid Rana's celebration which turned out to be a lively, fiery one during a pressure final which made the situation even more exciting. This wicket had special meaning to Nahid as well, becoming the second only bowler after Khushdil Shah (2024) to have bowl a maiden in a PSL Final.

Hyderabad Kingsmen Collapse Under Pressure
Batting first Hyderabad Kingsmen were bowled out for a meager score of 129 in the 18th over. Their innings never gained stability after wickets fell in clusters. Saim Ayub was holding the innings on one end with his 54 but with no firm support in partnership the total was never going to get higher.
Other batters like Glenn Maxwell and Kusal Perera too failed to make an impact. The tail couldn't score big either.
Peshawar Zalmi Dominate With the Ball
The bowling attack of Peshawar Zalmi ran the show from the get-go. Aaron Hardie put in the best performance of the game, picking up 4 wickets and dismantling the middle order of Hyderabad. Sufiyan Muqeem played second fiddle with a tight economical spell, and Nahid Rana backed them up well by using his pace, grabbing two wickets.
His dismissal of Hunain Shah was the crucial turning point of the innings, both with the way he got rid of the batter and his emotion as he celebrated the wicket. Hyderabad were limited to just 129. Zalmi had the momentum with the target so they will be expected to comfortably chase the target in the final.
