The Punjab Kings brought in Suryansh Shedge in their last match against Rajasthan Royals. Even though he could not do much there, staying not-out on 3, today, he scored a much-needed half century in just 24 balls. Punjab is facing Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad. And there, they had been losing wickets in a row until Suryansh walked in to partner Marcus Stoinis.
In a match where everyone struggled, Shedge batted with a strike rate over 190, going berserk against Manav Suthar in the 14th over.
When Suryansh entered to bat, PBKS was five down for 47. He has been running a lot in between the wickets with Stonins, batting with one run a ball. He respected the pressure from Rashid Khan, keeping things tight until the team reached 81/5 by the end of the 13th over.
In the 14th over, he hammered 27 runs- three sixes over long on and cow corner and two boundaries to deep cover and deep point.

He reached his half century in the 15th over with a single against Rashid Khan. However, the show ended in the 16th over as Kagiso Rabada bowled a back-of-length ball with bounce, and Shedge casually swung his bat, getting an edge. Jos Buttler completes the catch as the boy departed for 57 runs in 29 balls having had a partnership of 79 runs with Stoinis.
