Ten workers have been made redundant after a UK plumbing firm entered liquidation. Centurion Plumbing Services (Scotland) Ltd had struggled with cashflow pressures, liquidators said.
The company, based in Muir of Ord in the Scottish Highlands, reportedly stopped trading on March 31. Its website is no longer working and its status on Companies House is listed as 'liquidation'. Richard Bathgate, of Johnston Carmichael LLP, was appointed interim liquidator for the company last month.
Speaking around a couple of weeks ago, he said: "Our immediate priority is to assist former employees in processing their claims through the Redundancy Payments Service.
"We are committed to helping them access the statutory entitlements and priority payments they are owed as quickly as possible.
"The company faced unsustainable cash flow pressures that ultimately made continued trading impossible.
"We are now in the process of realising the company's remaining assets and investigating its financial affairs."
All 10 of Centurion Plumbing Services (Scotland) Ltd's staff were made redundant, Press and Journal reported.
The company, founded in 2015, provided plumbing and heating services across northern Scotland, including areas such as Inverness and Fort William.
It had both domestic and commercial customers, and its commencement of winding up was April 21, according Companies House.
