The Kolkata Knight Riders' legendary bowler Sunil Narine became the third bowler in the Indian Premier League to have 200 wickets. The 200th wicket came in the 16th over when Narine dismissed Sali Arora of Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 3rd. With this, Narine enter the 200th club where Yuzvendra Chahal and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have already been existing.
Arora's wicket came in the very first ball of the 16th over. Narine used a deceptive carrom ball that snuck past the outside edge as Arora expected it to spin in. The ball crashed into the off-stump, dismissing Arora for just 2 runs off 6 balls.
In the final ball of the over, Narine took Ishan Kishan's wicket. A length delivery wide of the off-stump right came to Kishan. He miscued his shot, losing his shape, and holed out to Anukul Roy who was stationed at long-off.
