PTC News Desk: Gunshots were fired at Chai Sutta Bar Cafe in Canada's Surrey, located adjacent to Kapil Sharma's Kaps Cafe late Saturday night. The firing incident has raised fresh questions surrounding security of Indians and their ventures abroad.
According to reports, the incident took place at the Chai Sutta Bar cafe on 120th Street, a venue located directly beside ‘Kaps Cafe’, the eatery associated with Kapil Sharma.
Following the incident a post is going viral on social media with Bishnoi gang claiming responsibility of the firing and issuing further warnings. The message targeted Chai Sutta Cafe Bar and explicitly demanded its closure. It also threatened Kapil Sharma’s Kaps Cafe and his Mumbai residence as well.
The message specifically mentions that if Sharma continues to resist their demands, his business, Kaps Cafe, and his residence in Mumbai will be their next targets. The group further stated that they would not be swayed by any recommendations or mediation efforts this time.
However PTC News does not independently verify the authenticity of the post.
Police have launched investigation into the matter, however they have not yet released any formal statement regarding suspects, motives, or security measures around the affected establishments.
