Masala dosa ranks 6th in global pancake list by TasteAtlas

New Delhi: South India’s popular dosa varieties have received global recognition, with Masala dosa securing the 6th position in the world’s top 100 pancakes list released by TasteAtlas.
In its April edition, the food guide awarded Masala dosa a rating of 4.3 stars. The list is topped by Kartupeļu pankūkas from Latvia.
Apart from Masala dosa, a total of 11 Indian dishes featured in the rankings. Plain dosa secured the 15th position, followed by Paper dosa at 35th, Appam at 60th, Pesarattu at 63rd, Uttapam at 74th, Neer dosa at 84th, Malpua at 85th, and Rava dosa at 96th.
The rankings highlight the global popularity of traditional South Indian cuisine, particularly dosa varieties originating from Karnataka and other southern states.
