Step 1- Login

To complete the census, first visit the website https://se.census.gov.in , select Delhi, and enter the captcha. Using a laptop or desktop is also recommended for better mapping.

Step 2- Household Registration

The head of the family will be entered here, which cannot be changed later. A mobile number is also required, which must be unique for each household.

Step 3 – Language and Verification

You can choose from 16 languages, including Hindi, English, Bengali, Tamil, and Urdu. You will then need to verify using the OTP received on your mobile number.

Step 4- Enter the location details

In this, information about district, area, locality and nearby landmarks will have to be filled, if desired, pin code can also be added.

Step 5- Mark the location of the house on the map

This is an important step, requiring you to mark the exact location of your home on the map. This will help authorities identify the correct area.

Step 6- Fill the questionnaire

Next, you'll need to fill in information about your home and family. This includes details like the location of the house, number of rooms, and the number of family members. You'll also need to provide information about amenities like water, electricity, washrooms, and a kitchen.

Step 7- Review the details

After filling out the form, carefully check all the information. If necessary, you can make changes or save it as a draft.

Step 8 - File Submission

Once all the information is correct, make the final submission. You will then receive an 11-digit SE ID, which you must keep safely.

Step 9- Enumerator Visit

When the officer visits the home, they will need to show this SE ID. If the information matches, the process will be considered complete. Otherwise, the information will be asked again.

Timeline and important things

This process requires answering a total of 33 questions. These include information about the house's structure, ownership, family members, amenities, kitchen, internet, and even vehicles. Self-enumeration will take place from May 1st to May 15th, and door-to-door surveys will be conducted from May 16th to June 14th. Approximately 50,000 government employees will be deployed for this work. Furthermore, some important points must be kept in mind: only one household will be registered with a single mobile number, and incomplete forms will not be counted.
