Congratulations are in order for comedian-actor Munawar Faruqui and his wife Mehzabeen Faruqui, who have welcomed their first child together—a baby girl.
Taking to social media, Munawar shared the joyful news with fans through an Instagram carousel post, keeping the picture of the mother and newborn private.
Sharing the update, he wrote, "Ghar barkat aayi. Blessed. Alhamdulillah. Dua mein khas yaad rakhe!"

Within minutes of his post, several celebrities from the entertainment industry, including Varun Dhawan, Ranveer Allahbadia, and Aly Goni, congratulated the couple in the comments section.

Munawar married make-up artist Mehzabeen Coatwala in May 2024. The wedding was kept completely private, with no official announcement or social media posts at the time. The marriage came to light only after details were leaked online, and actor Hina Khan was seen attending the ceremony. It was also reported that the couple held a private wedding followed by a reception at ITC Maratha in Mumbai.
Munawar was previously married and has a son from his former wife, with whom he continues to co-parent. Mehzabeen, according to reports, also has a 10-year-old daughter. With this announcement, the couple have now shared the news of welcoming their first child together.
