Chris Curry, MD, PhD, clinical director of women’s health at Oura said: “Too often, women are left to piece together symptoms from search results, social media, and brief check-ins that don’t capture the full picture of their health—especially in perimenopause. Menopause Insights brings each member's long-term biometric patterns together with what they're experiencing day to day. That gives women and their clinicians a shared, clearer view of what's actually changing — so how they feel and what their data shows is in the same conversation.”
Birth control insights in Oura app
Oura has updated its Cycle Insights feature to include support for hormonal birth control. Women using pills, patches, IUDs, implants and other methods can now track how these affect their body over time.
Users can log their birth control method, track symptoms, and see changes in sleep, temperature and recovery. The feature also helps them understand what changes are normal for their body.
In the US, Oura is also partnering with Twentyeight Health. This will allow users to connect with doctors, get prescriptions, and access care through online consultations and home delivery.
Oura has also introduced Menopause Insights, a feature aimed at women going through perimenopause and menopause. The company says this phase is often misunderstood and lacks proper tools for tracking symptoms.
The feature includes a new Menopause Impact Scale, which asks users about sleep, mood, and daily life. Based on responses, it creates a personalised dashboard showing how symptoms are affecting them.
Users can track these changes over time and share the data with doctors for better treatment decisions.
These updates build on Oura’s existing features like Cycle Insights, Fertile Window, and Pregnancy Insights. The company says it is working to create a connected system that supports women across different life stages. The company said that it is also working with healthcare partners and researchers to improve understanding of women’s health using long-term biometric data.
