Pichai told journalist Kara Swisher in 2016 that he usually wakes up between 6:30 and 7 a.m. Although he does not consider himself an early riser, he still starts his day in a peaceful and organized manner. After waking up, his first task is to read the news, as he believes that the day should start with information.
