The release calendar for upcoming films has been going through constant reshuffling. Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, which was initially set to hit theatres on June 4, 2026, has now been postponed, triggering a ripple effect.

Following its earlier date, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, starring Varun Dhawan, had originally been scheduled for June 5, 2026. However, to avoid a clash with Toxic, the makers had shifted it forward to May 22. With Toxic now out of the way, the film has reverted to its initial June 5 release slot.

Adding another twist to the box office lineup, Ram Charan’s Peddi has officially locked June 4 as its release date, setting up a fresh face-off just a day before Varun Dhawan’s film hits theatres.

About Peddi’s Schedule

Peddi, starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, is primarily a Telugu film but will be released across multiple languages, including Hindi. Despite a one-day gap between its release and Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, the two films are set for a direct box office clash over the weekend, essentially a pan-India spectacle going head-to-head with a Bollywood entertainer.

Interestingly, Peddi has undergone several changes in its release schedule. It was initially planned for a March 27, 2026 release, then pushed to April 30. The makers later moved it to June 25, before finally locking June 4 as its official release date.

About Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai

While confirming that Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is returning to its original June 5, 2026 release date, Varun Dhawan took to Instagram to share the update. He wrote, “JUNE 5 TH 2026 in theatres Thankful to @thenameisyash and @maddockfilms for helping us reset the calendar as our film hai jawani toh ishq hona hai will now release on its original date. The first film to release post IPL.”
