Electric Truck: The electric commercial vehicle segment is growing rapidly in India, especially in major logistics hubs like Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. Meanwhile, Montra Electric has expanded its eSCV portfolio by launching two new electric small trucks—EVIATOR 350 and EVIATOR 350L+.
What is special?
EVIATOR 350 (32kWh) is specifically designed for last mile delivery and short distance operation. It offers a real-world range of around 140 km and is suitable for applications like e-commerce and grocery delivery. Whereas EVIATOR 350L+ (50kWh) is a better option for long range, whose certified range is 300+ km and real range is up to 200+ km.
use case based design
Both these trucks have been developed based on real operation data of more than 65 lakh kilometers. The company is offering 32kWh, 40kWh and 50kWh battery options, allowing fleet operators to choose the vehicle as per their needs.
Price and target user
The starting price of EVIATOR 350 has been kept at ₹14.58 lakh and that of EVIATOR 350L+ has been kept at ₹16.86 lakh. The first model is suitable for e-commerce, courier and last mile delivery, while the second is a better option for intercity transport, cold chain and municipal services.
Why is the demand for EV increasing?
The reasons behind the increasing demand for EV trucks in India are rising diesel prices, government incentives and low operating costs. Montra Electric’s new models have the potential to give a new direction to the EV logistics sector.
