Delhi Capitals batters finally won a game for their franchise after a long time in the Indian Premier League 2026. The visiting team defeated Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets to secure their fourth win of the 19th season and keep their playoff chances alive. Chasing 226, the Capitals reached the target in 19.1 overs, with Ashutosh Sharma (25 off 15) and Tristan Stubbs (18 off 11) remaining unbeaten.
Earlier, KL Rahul and Pathum Nissanka added 110 runs in 9.3 overs for the first wicket. The Sri Lankan batter took just 33 deliveries to post 62, laced with 6 fours and 3 sixes.
On the other hand, Rahul amassed 75 runs in 40 deliveries, with the help of 6 boundaries and 5 maximums. Rahul then stitched a 61-run stand with Nitish Rana, who accumulated a 17-ball 33, including 3 fours and 2 sixes.
For RR, none of the bowlers were able to stop the run flow. Although Jofra Archer, Ravindra Jadeja, and Tushar Deshpande took 1 wicket each, their efforts were not enough.
