In a shocking incident at the Vindhyachal temple in Mirzapur district, Uttar Pradesh, a swarm of bees attacked devotees who had come to pay their respects. The attack resulted in injuries to 25 individuals, with five of them reported in serious condition. All affected individuals have been admitted to a hospital for treatment. The sudden bee attack has created a panic-stricken atmosphere in the area.

On Friday, pilgrims visiting the renowned Vindhyachal temple to seek blessings from Goddess Vindhyavasini were unexpectedly assaulted by bees. Many were injured, while others fled in a bid to escape. The five seriously injured individuals were transported to a nearby community health center via ambulance.

Reports indicate that a group of 25 pilgrims, including Durgesh Yadav, Sunil, and Anarkali from Raebareli, were preparing food under a peepal tree near Atal Chowk. The smoke from their fire is believed to have provoked the bees. As the swarm descended, devotees were seen using towels and sheets to shield themselves from the stings.

Despite the chaos, the bees continued their assault until the pilgrims decided to light a fire, which eventually calmed the swarm. Emergency services were alerted, and all injured individuals were taken to the Vindhyachal community health center for medical attention. Among the injured were women and children, but all are reported to be out of danger. Dr. Manohar Kumar Rai from the health center confirmed that the victims were receiving treatment and were stable.

Vinayak Prakash Rai, the local police station chief, stated that the pilgrims had come from Raebareli to visit the temple and were attacked while cooking under the peepal tree. All injured individuals were promptly transported to the hospital.
