- Curd – 2 cups (thick)
- Ripe mango – 1 cup (gar)
- Sugar – ½ to ¾ cup (as per taste)
- Cardamom powder – ½ tsp
- Saffron – few sticks (optional)
- Milk – 2 tbsp (for soaking the saffron)
- Dry fruits (almonds, pistachios) – for decoration

- First, tie the curd in a clean cloth and hang it for 5-6 hours or overnight, so that the water in it is completely drained and the chakka is formed.
- On the other hand, soak some saffron sticks in a little warm milk.
- Take the prepared jaggery in a bowl and beat it till it becomes very soft and smooth.
- Now add mango pulp and sugar to it and mix well.
- Then add cardamom powder and soaked saffron and mix again gently.
- Keep the prepared ambrakhand in the fridge for 1-2 hours to cool.
- At the end of serving, garnish with dry fruits on top.
- Prepared Amrakhand will taste very good with hot puri.
