Director Siddharth Anand has reacted strongly after leaked photos from the set of the upcoming film King went viral on social media, asking fans to respect the privacy of the production.

The leaked images, reportedly shot in Cape Town, show Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan alongside actress Deepika Padukone during what appears to be a song sequence. The visuals show the two actors walking together in a scenic outdoor setup, with film crew members visible in the background.

In the photos, Deepika Padukone is seen wearing a soft floral outfit, while Shah Rukh Khan appears in a casual open shirt look with grey-toned hair styling. The leaked stills quickly circulated online, triggering widespread fan reactions and speculation about the film’s storyline and visuals.

Following the viral spread, Siddharth Anand issued a public statement on social media platform X, requesting audiences not to share or circulate any unauthorized content from the film’s set. He emphasized that the team is working to create a carefully designed cinematic experience and urged fans to wait for the official release.

He added that the production intends to reveal promotional material in a structured way and asked for cooperation from fans to avoid spoiling key surprises from the film.

King is one of the most anticipated upcoming Bollywood projects and features a large ensemble cast, including Suhana Khan in her theatrical debut, along with actors Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Rani Mukerji, and others.

The film is scheduled for a theatrical release in December 2026 and has already generated significant attention due to its star cast and high production scale.

Despite the leak, fan reactions online have been largely positive, with many praising the visuals, on-screen chemistry, and styling seen in the unofficial images. However, industry insiders say such leaks can disrupt marketing strategies and reduce the impact of planned promotions.

The production team is now reportedly tightening on-set security as filming continues across international locations.
