In a startling revelation, police in Kaushambi district, Uttar Pradesh, have uncovered the identity of the murderer in the case of a woman's body found in a box by the highway. The perpetrator is none other than her live-in partner, identified as Harsh Khiyani, who has been apprehended along with an accomplice.

Desire for Marriage Leads to Tragedy

Investigations revealed that the victim, named Moni, was living with Harsh in Kanpur. She had been pressuring him to marry her. However, Harsh, already married and unwilling to accept Moni due to societal pressures, plotted to eliminate her.

Body Disposed 160 Kilometers Away

On the day of the incident, Harsh strangled Moni with her dupatta, aided by a friend. To destroy evidence, they placed her body in a large box and transported it approximately 160 kilometers to Kaushambi, where they discarded it by the roadside. The suspicious box was discovered by police on April 16, causing a stir in the area.

Alcohol Bottle Reveals Clue

Solving this gruesome murder posed a significant challenge for law enforcement. However, a tag from a bottle of alcohol found near the crime scene provided a crucial lead. Following this clue, police traced it back to Harsh in Kanpur. During intense questioning, he confessed to the crime. Authorities are now searching for his accomplice and completing other legal formalities.
