The UP Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has declared the results of the Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO) 2025 Preliminary Examination. This major announcement from Prayagraj has brought an end to the wait for thousands of candidates. The Commission's Secretary, Girijesh Kumar Tyagi, officially announced the results. The examination was conducted on March 22, 2026. A total of 182 vacancies are to be filled through this recruitment drive. 

Against these vacancies, the Commission has declared 2,856 candidates successful for the Main Examination. Successful candidates can now visit the Commission's official website to check their roll numbers. These results are entirely provisional, and the subsequent selection process will be completed through the Main Examination.

Immense enthusiasm was observed among the youth of Uttar Pradesh for this recruitment drive. A total of 93,419 candidates applied online for the APO 2025 recruitment. However, only 50,795 candidates appeared at the examination centers on the day of the exam. The Commission successfully conducted this examination in March amidst strict security and complete transparency. Now that the results have been released, the buzz regarding the Main Examination has intensified among the successful candidates. The 2,856 candidates who cleared the Preliminary Examination will now have to appear for the Main Examination. The Commission has informed that the detailed schedule for the Main Examination will be released shortly. Successful candidates will be given another opportunity to apply online for this purpose. In this regard, the Commission will issue a separate press release sharing complete details. Currently, only the merit list for the Preliminary Examination and the roll numbers of the successful candidates have been released. Those who have managed to secure a place in this list should now intensify their preparations.

Candidates are naturally quite curious regarding their obtained marks and the cut-off scores. The Commission has clarified that information regarding individual marks will not be released at this stage. Details concerning candidates' scores and the cut-off marks will be made available only after the final selection results have been declared. Until then, candidates can only check their qualifying status on the website. The Secretary has also explicitly stated that no applications or requests regarding this matter will be entertained under the Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005.
