Move over Line of Duty, Sky's Prisoner boasts an equally impressive ensemble of talent, reports the Mirror.
Prisoner is set to land on Sky tonight (April 30), promising to take viewers on a thrilling and gripping journey.
The series, written by Oscar-nominated screenwriter Matt Charman, delivers a pulse-pounding drama across six instalments.
Prisoner centres on a prisoner transport officer who makes a last-ditch decision to handcuff a mafia informant in a bid to get him to court, after their convoy comes under attack and the pair are forced to flee for their lives.
Here's a closer look at the key cast members of Sky's Prisoner and where you may have spotted them before.
Having scooped her Scottish BAFTA for BBC's Boiling Point and amassed a devoted fanbase through Channel 4 sitcom Big Boys, Izuka Hoyle takes on a strikingly different role as the determined and principled prisoner transport officer Amber Todd.
Golden Globe and BAFTA nominee Tahar Rahim takes on the role of trained assassin Tibor Stone, a man poised to expose everything about the organised crime syndicate Pegasus - provided they don't silence him first.
The French actor has previously appeared in BBC's The Serpent and film A Prophet, as well as featuring in The Mauritanian and Madam Web.
Finn Bennett portrays Olly Hatton, Amber's unsuspecting husband who becomes embroiled in the conspiracy. Bennett won over fantasy enthusiasts earlier this year with his compelling portrayal of Aerion Targaryen in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. He has also featured in Netflix's Black Doves, True Detective: Night Country and Kiri.
Cherished British actor Eddie Marsan, celebrated for his roles in Ray Donovan, Happy-Go-Lucky and Vera Drake, takes on the role of National Crime Unit Director of Operations Alex Tebbit.
A Thousand Blows, The Witcher and Temple actress Catherine McCormack steps into the shoes of National Crime Unit chief Josephine Campbell.
Having left audiences captivated by his period drama turn as Mr Ryder in the BBC's The Other Bennet Sister, actor Laurie Davidson takes on a considerably darker role as Declan Dempsey, the son of a mafia boss. Davidson has also appeared in The Girlfriend, Mary and George, and Will.
German actress Leonie Benesch, known for Babylon Berlin, The White Ribbon and Late Shift, portrays ruthless assassin Nina Dragus, who will stop at nothing to eliminate Tibor.
Black Doves and A Very Royal Scandal's Sam Troughton steps into the role of National Crime Unit analyst Will O'Neil. The grandson of Doctor Who legend Patrick Troughton has also appeared in Chernobyl, The Outlaws and Robin Hood.
The ensemble also features Brían F. O'Byrne, Youssef Kerkour, Ken Nwosu, Anton Valensi, and Selorm Adonu, amongst others.
Prisoner will be released on Sky as a boxset from today
