Travis Head, the opening batter of Sunrisers Hyderabad, was caught in a funny moment with the IPL robot dog Champak in the match against Mumbai Indians on April 29. The incident unfolded when SRH walked out to bat at Wankhede Stadium in the second innings.
MI won the toss and decided to bat first. They put 243 runs on board, letting SRH batters chase. And at that moment, Head got caught in the quirks. The robot dog is a daily "thing" in the IPL. It "interacts" with players, dances with the cheerleaders, follow the coin during the toss, and even walks in with the batters during the innings.
So when SRH went in to chase, Ro-Dog walked in too. Head, who was busy with his thoughts, got "attacked." The robot was walking side by side when Head tripped on it. It got on his nerves so badly that Head almost wanted to hit it with his bat.

The robot dog has gradually been a fun element. Recently, Ravindra Jadeja, after a match, picked the robot upside down and walked it down to the boundary, which caught attention too.
Sunrisers Hyderabad stun Mumbai Indians in chase
Indian Premier League 2026 Match 41 at Wankhede Stadium turned into a batting spectacle as Sunrisers Hyderabad chased down 244 to beat Mumbai Indians by six wickets with eight balls to spare.
Mumbai posted a daunting 243/5, powered by Ryan Rickelton’s unbeaten 123 off 55 balls (SR 223.63), including 10 fours and 8 sixes. Will Jacks (46 off 22) provided early impetus as MI raced to 78/0 in the powerplay and 202/3 in 16 overs, finishing at a strong run rate of 12.15.
However, Hyderabad’s response was even more explosive. They smashed 92 runs in the powerplay and reached 129 inside nine overs. Travis Head led the charge with 76 off 30 (SR 253.33), while Abhishek Sharma added 45 off 24 in a 129-run opening stand.
After a brief wobble at 133/3, Heinrich Klaasen anchored the chase with an unbeaten 65 off 30 (SR 216.66), supported by a late blitz from Salil Arora (30* off 10). SRH finished at 249/4 in 18.4 overs, scoring at 13.33 runs per over in a record-breaking chase.
