It is said that more than 12 lakh names have already been cut and more than 18 lakh names (total 33 lakh+) are in the list, which will be removed. In this regard, the Food and Consumer Protection Department has issued guidelines to all the districts.

According to department officials, about 36 lakh families have been found ineligible in the investigation, out of which names of 12 lakh have been struck off. At the same time, the remaining families have been found eligible in the investigation, whose values ​​will not be removed from the list. Along with this, the department can also take action against the SDO who shows laxity and carelessness in the investigation. Preparations are also being made for this.

The Central Government had included in the list of suspects those cardholders who own four-wheelers, hold the post of director in big companies or are income tax payers. Besides, such names have also been included in this list, by whom ration is not being lifted under the Public Distribution System for months. The names of these families are being removed after investigation.

A list of deletion of names of the dead was also prepared in various districts.

At present two crore 10 lakh families of the state are ration card holders. Many of them have died. Talking about various districts of the state, the list of maximum number of dead 67,417 in Patna and 66,918 in Muzaffarpur has been prepared. Apart from this, 43,909 names will be removed in Gayaji, 41,421 in East Champaran and 43,554 names in Samastipur, while in smaller districts, 1,330 names are to be removed from Shivhar and 1,588 from Arwal.
