A 22-foot gold statue of US President Donald Trump sits in Florida. According to sources, the construction cost of the statue is more than 3 crore rupees in Indian currency. Netizens have already started mocking Trump over the issue.
It is known that the statue of the US President has been installed at the Trump National Doral Golf Resort in Miami. It is named ‘Don Colossus’. In 2024, there was a plot to assassinate Trump in Pennsylvania. While addressing the meeting, the bullet grazed his ear. The US president is then seen in a fist-pumping pose. The golden statue of Trump has been built in that model.
According to sources, the weight of the idol wrapped in thick gold leaf is around 3.1 tonnes. It is made of bronze. The statue was created by Alan Cottrell, a sculptor from Ohio. About 3 lakh 60 thousand US dollars have been spent. However, it is not clear how long it took to build the statue. The image of the idol has caused a stir as it has spread on social media. The sarcasm has flown. Many have compared the US president to the previous rulers of North Korea. One wrote, ‘What madness! Now all that is left is to declare himself a dictator.’ Another netizen wrote, ‘Trump built the statue for Make America Great Again (MAGA) supporters to worship.’
