The Delhi State Legal Services Authority is organizing a National Lok Adalat on May 9, 2026, to resolve pending cases and minor traffic violations. Token registration for compoundable challans up to January 31, 2026, begins May 4 and runs until May 7. Litigants must book slots online and carry printed challans to designated court premises for settlement.

The Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) has announced that it will organize a National Lok Adalat on May 9, 2026, in the national capital. The Delhi Lok Adalat will start from 10 AM and will conclude from 4 PM. Lok Adalat is an opportunity for residents in Delhi who want to resolve their pending cases or challans in a quick and hassle-free manner.

The Delhi Lok Adalat is eligible for minor violations, such as overspeeding, signal jumping, and parking offences. Serious offences, such as drunk driving, hit & run, accident cases with injury, etc are not eligible.

Delhi Lok Adalat: Token registration date

Since the Delhi Lok Adalat will take place on May 4, 2026, the token registration will take place on Monday, May 4. Compoundable challans/notices pending in Virtual Courts up to 31.01.2026 will be taken up for settlement during this Lok Adalat. Litigants can view a step-by-step guide to download the challan slip by scanning QR Code No. 1.

If you wish to settle a traffic challan, it is mandatory to book a slot in advance. The slot booking process will commence from May 4 and will go on till May 7, 2026. To do so, you must visit the official website of the Delhi Traffic Police and book your slot. After booking a slot, you will need to download your challan and take a printout of it. Subsequently, you must visit the concerned court at the scheduled time to settle your case.

To download and print the notice or challan, visit the Delhi Traffic Police website at https://traffic.delhipolice.gov.in/lokadalat or scan the QR code provided. Vehicle owners must download and carry a printed copy of their challan or notice in advance to participate.

Alternatively, citizens can scan the QR code, select the online Lok Adalat application option, fill out the form, upload the required documents, and submit it. A token number will be sent via email or phone after submission. It is mandatory to carry a printed copy of the notice or challan, as no printout facility will be available at the court premises.

"As far as Traffic challans pending on Virtual Court portal are concerned, it is informed that the compoundable challans pending till 31.01.2026 will be taken up and litigants/violators can download the challan Slip(s) directly through the Link (https://traffic.delhipolice.gov.in/lokadalat) from 04.05.2026 at 10 a.m. onwards, subject to a maximum limit of 50,000 challans per day, till exhausting the overall limit of 2 lakh challans," an official statement read.

Criminal Compoundable Offences
Cheque dishonour cases under Section 138 NI Act
(ii) Money Recovery cases;
(iv) Motor Accident Claims cases (MACT);
(v) Labour dispute cases;
(vi) Electricity and Water Bills cases;

FOR TRAFFIC CHALLANS:-
(vii) Matrimonial disputes (except divorce)
(viii) Land Acquisition cases;
(ix) Services matters relating to pay, allowances and retiral benefits; (x) Revenue cases (pending in District Courts and High Courts only); (xi) Other Civil cases;
