Tasty breakfast prepared from Poha: If you want to eat something spicy and interesting for breakfast, then definitely try this new breakfast made from Poha. If you eat this breakfast once, you will forget eating Kachori Samosa. You can easily make it at home. With very little effort and just 5 minutes, such a crispy, tasty and fun breakfast will be ready, that you will not be able to stop yourself from eating it. After eating this breakfast once, children will forget to eat market breakfast and adults will also like it very much. So let’s quickly note down the recipe for making a very spicy breakfast made from Poha.

First step- To prepare breakfast, take 1 cup thick poha and put it in a strainer and wash it thoroughly with water two-three times. Now keep it to rest for 3 minutes so that the poha swells. In a bowl, add 1/4 cup wheat flour, salt as per taste, 1/2 teaspoon chilli flakes, finely chop five to six curry leaves.

Second step- Now add two pinches of celery and mix. Add water little by little to the flour so that lumps are not formed. Now you have to prepare a thick mix. You have to prepare a thin slurry. Neither should it be kept too thin like water nor should it be kept too thick. Keep this also aside for 2 minutes.

Third step- For breakfast, boil two medium sized potatoes and mash them while still hot. Put the potatoes in a bowl and add some vegetables like one spoon finely chopped capsicum, one to two spoons finely chopped tomato, one small onion, two spoons of carrot grated with a large grinder, two to three cloves of garlic, 1 inch of ginger and two spoons of finely chopped green chilli, coriander leaves.

Fourth Step- Add 1/4 tsp black pepper powder for flavour, 1/4 tsp garam masala powder, half tsp roasted cumin powder, salt as per taste, 1/4 tsp red chilli powder for spicy taste, add 1/2 tsp chaat masala and mix everything. Spicy potato masala will be ready.

Fifth Step- Now mash the puffed poha well. You put it in the potato mix and mash it. Keep in mind that poha should not be wet. Mix the potatoes and wet poha by mashing them with hands. Now give it the shape as per your choice, round or long as you want to make breakfast. Make all the pieces like this and keep them in a plate. Now dip the tikki in the flour slurry made and fry it. While frying it, slow down the gas flame. Bake it until it becomes crispy from both the sides.

Fry all the prepared tikkis in the same manner, turning them upside down. You have to put 2-3 tikkis at a time according to the pan. It will take only 5 minutes to fry this snack. So, your crispy and tasty breakfast is ready. Enjoy it with chutney or sauce.
