Kolkata. The political atmosphere is continuously heating up amid voting in West Bengal. Trinamool Congress (TMC) Rajya Sabha MP Mamata Thakur made serious allegations against the Election Commission, saying that “an orgy is taking place in Bengal.”
She claimed that she was called at night and informed that a complaint has been registered against her for distributing money in Bagda assembly constituency, while she was present at her home. He also alleged that the central security forces were threatening the leaders and the BJP was influencing the elections in collusion with the Election Commission.
79% voting till 3 pm-
According to Election Commission data, around 79 percent voting was recorded in the state till 3 pm, which shows the enthusiasm of the voters.
Statements of BJP leaders-
When BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari was asked a question about Bhawanipur seat, he said that the victory margin will be clear after 6 pm.
At the same time, BJP MP Locket Chatterjee claimed that voting is going on peacefully and this time there is a possibility of more voting than the first phase. He said that “BJP is forming the government” and “Bengal is getting out of the hands of Mamata Banerjee.”
