VFX supervisor Vishal Tyagi has shared intriguing details about the climax scene of 'Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge'. Even 40 days post-release, audiences are still captivated by the film's thrilling action and explosive sequences.
According to Vishal, the film's most significant explosion scene was shot entirely using practical effects, without any CGI.
For the tanker blast depicted in the climax, approximately 500 liters of petrol and 25 kilograms of explosive materials were utilized. This scene was filmed between a real train base and containers, adding to its complexity.
The primary concern for the team was the safety of Ranveer Singh, who was positioned very close to the explosion during filming.
Vishal ensured that Ranveer was well-informed about the precise blast zone to mitigate any risks. Interestingly, Ranveer appeared unfazed by the scene, commenting afterward, 'You nailed it!'
In contrast, Arjun Rampal was removed from the set prior to the explosion.
Director Aditya Dhar also opted for real action over CGI, enhancing the authenticity and grandeur of the scene.
