Bengaluru: In a tragic incident, seven people were killed and several others injured after a compound wall of a hospital in Shivajinagar collapsed due to heavy rain on Monday evening.
Following the incident, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced compensation for the families of the deceased. He visited the accident site, gathered information, and later went to Bowring Hospital to check on the injured. He also interacted with doctors, reviewed the condition of the patients, and instructed that free treatment be provided to all the injured.
Compensation announcedThe Chief Minister announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh for each of the families of the deceased.
Inquiry orderedStating that the collapse led to the death of seven people, including children, the Chief Minister directed officials to conduct a detailed investigation into the cause of the incident and submit a report.
Officials instructed on treatmentHe also instructed hospital authorities to ensure proper medical care and support for the injured patients.
