The films ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ directed by Aditya Dhar have already broken many records at the box office. These films have also performed brilliantly in terms of global earnings. Both ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ have received immense love from the audience in India as well as abroad. Now it has been decided to release this film in Japan and ‘Dhurandhar’ will be released there on July 7.
Jio Studio has announced the release date by sharing the Japanese poster of ‘Dhurandhar’. According to the poster, the film will be released in theaters on July 7. However, many Indian films have already performed well in Japan, so ‘Dhurandhar’ will face a tough challenge.
S.S. ‘RRR’, directed by Rajamouli, is the highest-grossing Indian film in Japan, earning 2.42 billion yen (approximately Rs 136 crore). No film has been able to break this record till now. ‘Dangal’ may have made huge money in China, but the film also got good response in Japan. This film, released under a different Japanese name, had earned around 12.40 million yen (approximately Rs 73.48 lakh).
Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Pathan’ was also released in Japan and it collected around Rs 1.34 crore. The film got massive screens there. Apart from this, ‘Missing Ladies’ produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao and Prabhas’ ‘Salaar’ also did well in Japan. ‘Missing Ladies’, made on a low budget, earned around Rs 2.75 crore, while ‘Salaar’ collected more than Rs 95 lakh. Now it will be interesting to see what kind of response ‘Dhurandhar’ gets from the audience in Japan.
