Rajiv Bajaj will step down from the board of Bajaj Finance after informing the company that he will not seek re-election at its annual general meeting scheduled for July 30, 2026, the private lender said in an exchange filing.
According to a regulatory filing, Bajaj will cease to be a non-executive director upon completion of the AGM. The company said he has expressed his decision not to stand for re-election at the ensuing meeting.
Accordingly, he will cease to be Non-Executive Director of the Company, Bajaj Finance said.
Taking note of the development, the Board of Directors placed on record its appreciation for his long association and contribution to the company at its meeting held on Wednesday.
Apart from this, Bajaj is Managing Director of automaker Bajaj Auto. He has been associated with the Bajaj group for over three decades, spanning roles across manufacturing, supply chain, R&D, engineering, and marketing.
He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pune and a Master’s degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Warwick. Over the years, he has been recognised for his leadership in business strategy, innovation and scaling of the company’s global operations, as per Bajaj Finserv's official website.
Bajaj also holds directorships across several Bajaj group companies including Bajaj Holdings & Investment Ltd, Bajaj Auto Credit Ltd, Bajaj Auto Technology Ltd, Bajaj Sevashram Pvt Ltd, Kamalnayan Investment & Trading Pvt Ltd and Rupa Equities Pvt Ltd, among others.
