The Prince and Princess of Wales have shared a sweet family photo with their children lying on a grassy knoll to mark their 15th wedding anniversary. The candid holiday snap, taken on their recent Easter holiday to Cornwall by trusted royal photographer Matt Porteous, shows the beaming family of five chatting and laughing as they lie on the lush lawn.
In a nod to mum Catherine being at the heart of the family, she lies in the middle, wearing a striped jumper and white jeans, with Prince Louis' legs resting over hers. She is looking towards her two youngest children, with Princess Charlotte lying at the end in shorts, with her long, golden hair styled down by her shoulders.
William, meanwhile, is on the other end, smiling at his son Prince George, while resting his right arm around the family's beloved black cocker spaniel, Orla.
All five are barefoot and dressed casually, as the image is likely to have been taken near the beach where Prince Louis' recent reel of pictures was shot to mark his eighth birthday.
A message accompanying the new picture read "celebrating 15 years of marriage" alongside a red heart emoji.
A lot has happened in the decade-and-a-half since, three children have come along, William is now the heir apparent, and the family went through a dreadful year following Catherine's shock cancer diagnosis at the start of 2024.
As a result, Wednesday is likely to be a moment for the couple to reflect and celebrate all they have achieved and overcome during their 15 happy years together.
They have chosen a photo with their children to show the family has changed and that the three youngsters are at the heart of their world.
On April 29, 2011, some 37million Brits tuned in live to watch the future king and queen wed in a spectacular ceremony at Westminster Abbey. Millions lined the streets around the Church and Buckingham Palace.
Catherine wore an unforgettable Alexander McQueen gown designed by Sarah Burton, which featured long lace sleeves, an applique bodice and a full organza skirt with a nine-foot train.
The dashing groom, meanwhile, wore the scarlet tunic uniform of the Irish Guards, having been appointed Colonel of the regiment two months earlier, his first honorary Army appointment.
Fittingly, Catherine took over the appointment in March 2023.
