The fire was initially reported around 4:23 PM local time on Tuesday, near the address 2544 Live Oak Park Road, according to the North County Fire Protection District's incident reports. Heavy smoke has been observed billowing from the site, with local residents noting dark smoke visible from surrounding areas.
Multiple firefighting units have been dispatched, including at least four engine companies, as they work diligently to control the fire and prevent its spread. Several roads have been closed to facilitate emergency operations, with Gum Tree Lane and Live Oak Park Road both shut down for about a mile in each direction from their intersection. Drivers are advised to steer clear of the area and seek alternative routes. Fire officials have indicated that there are currently no immediate threats to buildings. The fire's size and cause are still unknown, and crews are actively engaged in efforts to stop its advance.
