Channel 5 viewers had the same demand ahead of the final episode of Sam & Ade Go Birding. The third and final instalment of the heartwarming programme aired on Tuesday (April 28) and followed Samuel West and Adrian Edmondson once again as they explored some of the UK's most beautiful nature reserves to birdwatch.
During the episode, Samuel, a keen birdwatcher, and Adrian, a beginner, went to Somerset Levels in search of a bittern, which has been described as Britain's loudest and possibly most mysterious bird. Before it aired, editor Doug Bryson took to social media to share how much he enjoyed putting together the "joyous" final episode.
Fans immediately flooded the comments, expressing how much they had enjoyed the series as they eagerly called for more episodes.
One said: "Have loved this series, informative, interesting and emotional. Seeing the growing bond between Sam and Ade has been lovely to watch....more please?"
Another echoed: "Looking forward to watching! It's been a fab series! Please do another one!"
A third agreed: "Wow! I should have known you were involved in this. It's been a brilliant series and I've so enjoyed their interactions and Sam's knowledge of birds. Hoping for another series."
A fourth begged: "I thought this had Gone Fishing vibes from the very first episode. Ade and Sam have been a joy to watch. Perfect comfort television. More of this please."
"Yes please. More please, these are wonderful," penned a fifth viewer while another added: "Three episodes isn't enough."
During the episode, Samuel, 59, opened up about losing his parents as he shared a heartwarming moment with Ade, 69, in the car.
Twiddling his moustache, Samuel explained that he had the facial hair because he had played Malvolio in the Royal Shakespeare Company's (RSC) production of Twelfth Night.
Highlighting that it had been a week since the play ended and he was still keeping the moustache, the actor confessed: "I know, I'm slightly worrying about saying goodbye to him. I've played him twice, once when my dad died and once when my mum died. He got me through a tough year. Is it time to take it off, do you think?"
Offering to take the moustache off for him, Ade cut the ends off for Samuel right there in the car.
Samuel's father - legendary actor Timothy West - died aged 90 in November 2024. He passed away in his sleep after spending three months in hospital following a fall.
His wife of 61 years - Fawlty Towers star Prunella Scales - died less than one year later in October 2025. She passed away aged 93 following a lengthy battle with dementia.
