Dale Steyn raised a big question (Photo-PTI)
Delhi Capitals team was bundled out for just 75 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore. This team had lost its 6 wickets for just 8 runs. After this poor performance, former fast bowler Dale Steyn has made big allegations against the batsmen. He said that modern day batsmen are not fully preparing for hard length bowling. Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar took advantage of this. Let us tell you that Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar had destroyed the batting of Delhi Capitals by taking six wickets in the first four overs and this team was all out for 75 runs against RCB and Punjab also lost the match in 39 balls.
Is there an atmosphere of fear among the batsmen?
Steyn said that there is some fear among the batsmen of the current era and the reason for this is not practicing against the length balls of bowlers like Hazlewood, Bhuvneshwar, Kagiso Rabada and Joffra Archer. Steyn said, 'There is real fear among the batsmen while facing Bhuvi-Hazelwood, KG, Archer. It is not that they are scared but these batsmen know where these great bowlers are going to bowl. Despite this, the batsmen do not prepare for that length so that they have an answer.
Watching Buvi, Hazelwood, throw KG and Archer in there too, theres a genuine fear from batters not because they scared, but they know exactly where these greats are going to bowl but dont practice enough in that area to have answers. The fear is technical skill, too deep into

Batsmen's weakness is hard length
Dale Steyn further said that no batsman can change his technique in the middle of the tournament and this is the reason why these bowlers maintain their dominance. Steyn said in simple gestures that hard length is the biggest problem for the batsmen. Against Delhi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 3 wickets giving just 5 runs in 3 overs. Josh Hazlewood dismissed 4 batsmen for just 12 runs and also received the Player of the Match award.
