Giving great news to the youth, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday said that in Uttar Pradesh, ample opportunities are being provided to the capable and hardworking youth to join the UP Police. He told that this year Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board is going to make about 1 lakh new recruitments.

In the last three days, examination has been conducted for 41 thousand posts in UP Home Guard. The recruitment process of Civil Police, SI and Home Guard is also progressing rapidly.

936 candidates got appointment letters, new beginning in Telecom Department

The Chief Minister distributed appointment letters to 936 selected candidates of Uttar Pradesh Police Telecommunication Department in a program organized at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow. During this, a short film based on the functioning of the department was also shown.

Serve with honesty and transparency: CM Yogi

While addressing the newly selected candidates, CM Yogi said that the recruitment process has been completed completely fair and honestly. Now it is the responsibility of the selected youth to serve with honesty, transparency and clear intentions. He said that only when every citizen performs his duties honestly, the dream of a developed India will be realized.

Earlier there used to be recommendation and transaction, now merit is the basis.

The Chief Minister said that nine years ago there was a lack of transparency in the recruitment process and recommendations and transactions were prevalent. But now the situation has changed. Now recruitment is being done only on the basis of merit, ability and reservation rules. He said that if someone has the potential then no one can stop him from moving forward.

Recruitment of more than 2.20 lakh police personnel in 9 years

CM Yogi said that in the last 9 years, more than 2.20 lakh personnel have been recruited in UP Police. Recently, a convocation parade of 60 thousand constables was also organized, after which they were deployed in the field. He said that Uttar Pradesh is the largest civil police in the country and is fulfilling the responsibility of serving 25 crore people.

Big increase in police training capacity

The Chief Minister said that before 2017, only 3 thousand policemen could be trained at one time, but now in 2025, 60,244 constables were trained simultaneously. He said that big changes are possible with clear intentions, clear policy and strong will.

Great performance of UP Police in sports also

CM Yogi said that UP Police has included more than 500 players in its force. This is the reason why UP Police players win more medals in national and international sports competitions.

Major improvement in police infrastructure

He told that in 2017, there were no police lines and police station buildings in many districts. Now high-rise police barracks and residential facilities are available in 55 districts. Besides, new units like Model Police Station, New Fire Station, Mahila PAC Battalion, SSF and SDRF have been formed. Forensic facilities have also been strengthened, with mobile forensic labs and trained technicians deployed in every district.

Investment and development increasing due to law and order

The Chief Minister said that investment has increased in the state due to strong law and order system. UP is now free from riots and mafia and is moving rapidly towards development, due to which the country's economy is also benefiting.

Emphasis on Fitness: Healthy Body, Better Service

While giving the mantra to the youth to stay fit, CM Yogi said that being physically fit also brings mental strength, through which they can serve the country and society in a better way.

Increasing use of modern technology in telecommunication department

The Chief Minister said that the Police Telecommunication Department is no longer limited to just walkie-talkies, but has become an important part of smart policing with modern technologies. He said that the training of the coming 8 months will be very important for the candidates, so that they will be able to learn new technologies and implement them effectively in the field.

Atmosphere of happiness among newly selected candidates

The selected youth were feeling very proud after receiving the appointment letters from the Chief Minister. On this occasion, appointment letters were given to Pooja Gupta, Vaishali, Shalini Anand, Aman Tyagi, Bhupendra Singh Verma, Ankit Kushwaha, Shubham Chaurasia, Shyam Sundar, Monu Paswan and Manish Gaur.
