Charlize Theron recently participated in a Netflix mystery box challenge, in which one has to identify the object kept inside just by touch. As Theron put both her hands in the box, she instantly realized it was a moving item. She touched to check if it was beef jerky, but soon figured something was off before discovering it was a green tree python, which made her immediately freak out.

Charlize Theron gets scared after touching a live snake

Theron played the What’s in the Box challenge by Netflix alongside Taron Egerton as the duo appeared to promote their Netflix movie, Apex. At first, she inserted both her hands inside the box, slightly touching the object, and quickly realized that it was something alive. Once she became sure, she backed off and clapped, reiterating that it’s a live object.

Egerton guessed that his item might be beef jerky, while Theron touched her object once again to rule out the possibility that they both had the same item. She comes in front of the box to check what her item is, only to get shocked by a live snake, moving. “F–k, my heart,” she exclaimed.

She revealed that she squeezed the snake a bit and asked if it might have provoked it. She also asked whether the snake could bite her for squeezing the wrong place. Later, she is made aware that the snake won’t harm her. The snake was actually a green tree python; however, Theron revealed she didn’t like its face.

She mentioned that this particular species looks angrier than the last one, which had more gentle features. Egerton asked if she would pick up the snake, and Theron strictly said no. He also pointed out how the gamemakers played a bluff on Theron by placing snakes back-to-back, making it harder for her to guess the same thing easily.
