Vivo recently launched Vivo Y500s in China. It is part of the company’s budget 5G smartphone series. This phone has a large 7,200mAh battery, 6.75-inch 120Hz display and Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. Besides, it also has IP rating for protection from water, dust and shocks.

This smartphone looks similar to the previously launched Vivo Y500i, but has some small upgrades. Earlier, the company had also launched Vivo Y500 Pro in November 2025.

Price and availability
The starting price of Vivo Y500s in China has been kept at CNY 1,800 (approximately ₹ 24,800), in which 8GB + 256GB variant is available. Whereas the price of 12GB + 256GB and 8GB + 512GB variants is CNY 2,200 (about ₹ 30,400). This smartphone comes in Galaxy Silver, Obsidian Black and Phoenix Gold color options. Currently, it can be purchased through the company’s official e-store and according to the report, it is available for sale from March 2026.

Features and Specifications
Vivo Y500s has a 6.75-inch HD (1570 × 720 pixels) LCD display, which gives a smooth experience with 120Hz refresh rate. For performance, it has Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. The phone supports up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. This smartphone works on Android 16 based OriginOS 6.

For photography, the phone has a 50-megapixel rear camera, whose aperture is f/1.8. It has an 8 megapixel front camera for selfie and video calling.

connectivity
For connectivity, Vivo Y500s has features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C port with 5G and 4G LTE network support, which makes it a complete package for daily use.

Battery and other features
The biggest feature of the phone is its large 7,200mAh battery, which is capable of providing backup for a long time. Along with this, support of 44W fast charging and reverse charging is also available. Apart from this, it has stereo dual speakers, which give better audio experience.

Design and size
Talking about design, the size of the phone is 166.64 × 78.43 × 8.39mm, while its weight is 219 grams, which gives it a strong and premium feel. For security, it has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock feature, through which the phone can be unlocked safely and quickly.

Many useful sensors like accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, electronic compass and infrared remote control are provided in this smartphone.
