Kolkata. The political atmosphere has become more heated on the last day of the West Bengal Assembly election campaign. Trinamool Congress (TMC) has made serious allegations of violence and hooliganism against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). TMC MP Mithali Bagh claimed during Facebook Live that her car was attacked while she was campaigning in Arambagh.
Attack on car, use of sticks-
Mithali Bagh told that during the election campaign, her car was targeted and the attackers used sticks and rods. He and his driver were injured in this attack. He alleged that BJP workers could be behind this incident.
Car vandalized, admitted to hospital-
Giving information on the social media platform, TMC said that Mithali Bagh was going to attend the rally of party general secretary Abhishek Banerjee, when her convoy was attacked.
According to the party, the windows of their car were broken and the vehicle was significantly damaged. After the incident he had to be admitted to the hospital. TMC called it a cowardly attack on a woman MP, especially a representative from the Scheduled Caste community.
Accusations of violence against BJP-
Trinamool Congress alleged that the BJP is resorting to violence due to fear of electoral defeat. The party said the BJP is now adopting the path of “violence, intimidation and hooliganism” instead of political strategy.
