The Delhi Capitals hit an odd low in the history of the Indian Premier League after they chose to bat against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on April 27. Against the RCB bowlers, Axar Patel's DC could manage only 75 runs, with Axar himself getting dismissed for a duck.

It was the impact substitute Abhishiek Porel that kept the innings going while the other side collapsed like a house of cards. Well, with 75 runs on board, DC scored the second-lowest score in the IPL's history after the impact substitute rule was introduced. RCB still holds the top position with 59 runs they scored against the Rajasthan Royals in 2023.

Lowest IPL score after the introduction of the Impact Subs Rule:

Total Team Against Venue Year
59 RR RCB Jaipur 2023
75 DC RCB Delhi 2026
89 GT DC Ahmedabad 2024
95 KKR PBKS Mullanpur 2025
100 GT MI Ahmedabad 2026
101 LSG MI Chennai 2023
101 PBKS RCB Mullanpur 2025
104 MI CSK Wankhede 2026
108 LSG RCB Lucknow 2023
111 PBKS KKR Mullanpur 2025

Earlier, DC already achieved a new low when they scored 13 runs, losing 6 wickets in the powerplay. It was the lowest score ever made in powerplay in IPL history.
