DC vs RCB: In the 39th match of IPL 2026, Delhi Capitals had to face a shameful defeat in their own home ground Arun Jaitley Stadium. Batting first, Delhi team was limited to only 75 runs and in reply, Royal Challengers Bangalore achieved the target by losing one wicket in just 6.3 overs. The script of RCB's victory was written by its bowlers. Especially Josh Hazlewood bowled wreaking havoc and he took 4 wickets for just 12 runs. Along with him, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 3 wickets giving just 5 runs in 3 overs. Suyyash Sharma took 1 wicket for 7 runs. Krunal and Rasikh Salam also got 1 wicket each.
Delhi's crushing defeat
Delhi Capitals lost the toss and were invited to bat first by RCB. From the second ball of the first over, Delhi's wickets started collapsing like a pack of cards. Debut batsman Sahil Parakh was out for 0 on the very second ball. He was bowled by Bhuvneshwar on an excellent yorker. After this, in the next over, KL Rahul was dismissed by Hazlewood for 1 run. Sameer Rizvi was also dismissed by Hazlewood on the very next ball. After this, Tristan Stubbs and Delhi captain Akshar Patel were eliminated by Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the same over. Within no time, Delhi lost 6 wickets for just 8 runs. Impact player Abhishek Porel scored 30 runs and David Miller scored 18 runs and somehow took Delhi to 75 runs. But this score proved to be very small for RCB.
