Mumbai: A very painful and shocking incident has come to light from the southern area of Mumbai, where four people of the same family died due to suspected food poisoning. The family had eaten watermelon after dinner, after which everyone’s health suddenly deteriorated and within no time the entire house turned into mourning. 40-year-old Abdullah, his 35-year-old wife Nasreen and their two daughters – 13-year-old Zainab and 16-year-old Ayesha – lost their lives in the accident. After this, all four members of the family ate watermelon at home. After some time everyone started feeling vomiting, nervous and dizzy. Seeing the family’s condition deteriorating rapidly, they were immediately taken to a private hospital. Seeing his condition serious, the doctors referred him to J.J. Referred to the hospital, but all four died during treatment on Sunday night.
In the initial investigation by the police, food poisoning is suspected. Officials say that those who ate only chicken pulao did not face any problem, which has deepened the suspicion on watermelon. Postmortem of all the bodies has been done and now the histopathology report is awaited so that the real cause of death can be clarified. Police have registered a case of accidental death in this matter and started investigation. This incident has shocked the entire area. Local people are also shocked by the sudden death of four people of the same family.
