Rapido driver sent objectionable messages to the woman
According to the woman, the driver praised her by messaging her the next day and then started asking personal questions. He asked the woman’s age, offered to meet her in the evening and even asked if she lived alone.
The woman immediately blocked the driver and shared the entire incident on Instagram. After this video went viral, many other users also shared similar experiences, which makes it clear that this problem is not limited to just one person.
The company apologized for this incident
After the matter came to light, Rapido responded and the company apologized for the incident. Besides, assurance was given to take such cases seriously and take action.
Experts believe that women should take care of their privacy while booking a ride and in case of any inconvenience, they should immediately lodge a complaint through the app. This incident once again reminds us that women’s safety issues cannot be ignored with digital facilities.
