Feroz Khan Death Anniversary: Firoz Khan, one of the most stylish and royal actors of Bollywood, had achieved a different position in the industry through his strong acting, unique style and charismatic screen presence. His personality was so impressive that he was considered not only an actor but also a trendsetter. Firoz Khan made his mark not only in acting but also in direction and production. In his career, he worked in more than 60 films and every time he won the hearts of the audience with his different style. Today, 27th April, is his death anniversary. Married life was full of turmoil
Firoz Khan’s personal life was full of ups and downs. He married a woman named Sundari, who was already divorced and was also the mother of a daughter. Both of them met at a party and gradually this meeting turned into love. After dating each other for about five years, they got married in 1965. After marriage they had two children, son Fardeen Khan and daughter Laila Khan. Initially their married life was fine, but with time cracks started appearing in it.
Took away from family for air hostess
After a few years of marriage, a new turn came in the life of Firoz Khan. He met air hostess Jyotika Dhanrajgir. It is said that Firoz Khan fell in love with Jyotika at first sight. When his wife Sundari came to know about this relationship, she protested strongly. But Firoz Khan remained adamant on his decision and distanced himself from his wife and children. He started living in a live-in relationship with Jyotika in Bengaluru. Both lived together for about 10 years. During this period, Jyotika used to talk about marriage many times, but Firoz Khan used to postpone it every time. Ultimately, upset by this, Jyotika ended the relationship and went to London.
Returned to family, but did not get along
After separation from Jyotika, Firoz Khan returned to his wife and children. However, despite his decision, Sundari did not forgive him. The rift in their relationship had become so deep that it was difficult to heal. Ultimately in 1985, both of them got divorced and separated forever.
Lost battle with cancer
Firoz Khan faced serious illness in the last days of his life. He died on 27 April 2009 at the age of 69. He was suffering from lung cancer and was undergoing treatment at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. His last film was ‘Welcome’ released in 2007, in which he played the role of underworld don RDX. In this role too, his same style and charisma for which he was famous was seen.

Firoz Khan’s film journey was very wonderful. He worked in many hit films like ‘Aurat’, ‘Safar’, ‘Mela’, ‘Upasna’, ‘Aparadh’, ‘Khote Sikkey’, ‘Kala Sona’ and ‘Dharmatma’. Apart from this, he also tried his hand in direction and production and directed films like ‘Dayawan’, ‘Yalgaar’, ‘Prem Agan’ and ‘Jaansheen’. Firoz Khan was not just an actor, but was a symbol of style, glamor and different thinking in Bollywood.
