During IPL 2026 match 38 KKR fast bowler Kartik Tyagi delivered two full tosses to Lucknow Super Giants. The visiting Kolkata Knight Riders experienced further difficulties at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow when the young pacer executed this pitch delivery during the last over which helped Lucknow Super Giants complete their batting target.
The umpires assessed whether to take Tyagi out of the game during the last over after he threw two beamers. The 25-year-old completed his over after a short talk with the officials.
The umpires allowed Kartik Tyagi to continue playing because they found two beamers to be insufficient evidence for his removal from the game. Tyagi came in to bowl the final over when LSG needed 17 runs off six balls. He began with a single but then delivered a chest-high full toss which the on-field umpire correctly ruled as a no-ball.
Tyagi bowled another full toss during the free hit which the umpires declared a no-ball. He maintained his performance until he reached the end of his four-over bowling limit despite making multiple mistakes. The umpires permitted Tyagi to proceed with his bowling after determining that the second full toss did not pose sufficient danger to halt his performance.
The rule in Marylebone Cricket Club Law 41.7 states that a bowler must stop bowling after he delivers two dangerous non-pitching deliveries during one inning. The term no-balls describes deliveries which need to reach above the batter's waist without making contact with the ground.

The umpires allowed Tyagi to finish his over because they determined his second full toss delivery did not pose any threat. Tyagi's over created a situation where KKR nearly lost the game. He allowed 16 runs to score during his eight-ball over while trying to defend 17 runs and Mohammed Shami hit a six on the last ball, which resulted in a tie match.
The match ended with both teams scoring 155 runs after they played 40 overs. LSG batted first in the Super Over but managed just one run. Sunil Narine took both wickets, dismissing Nicholas Pooran for a duck and Aiden Markram for one in three balls. Rinku Singh hit a boundary on his first ball to secure victory for KKR. This result marked KKR’s second victory of the IPL 2026 season.
