Lucknow, Read: There was an atmosphere of excitement at Hazratganj Metro station on Saturday, when players of IPL team Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) participated in the ‘Meet and Greet’ programme. The event gave metro passengers and cricket fans an opportunity to meet their favorite stars.
LSG’s strategic advisor and former Kiwi captain Kane Williamson, batsman Mukul Chaudhary, all-rounder Arjun Tendulkar and spinner M. Siddhartha attended the event. Sushil Kumar, Managing Director of Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) welcomed the players. It was a special day for the winners of the ‘Selfie Contest’ organized by Metro. The winners had their photo taken with the players and were honored to receive an official LSG t-shirt.
During this, a special dialogue session was also held for the young cricketers, in which the players shared their experiences on the nuances of the game, mental strength and discipline. This inspired the emerging players. During the metro tour, the players appreciated the cleanliness of the station and the local art on the walls.
This is the fourth year of partnership between Lucknow Metro and LSG. For the convenience of passengers during the matches, metro service will continue till 12:30 am. Apart from this, the facility of ‘Last Mile Connectivity’ is also being provided till Ekana Stadium, which will make the transportation of spectators easier.
