The Sennheiser CX 80U is priced at ₹1,990, while the Sennheiser HD 400U is available at ₹5,990. Both the products are available for sale from April 22 onwards on the brand’s website, Amazon, Flipkart and offline retail stores like Croma and Reliance Digital.
At this price, the CX 80U falls into the affordable wired segment, while the HD 400U targets users who want branded audio performance in entry-level over-ear headphones.
Specifications and features
Both of these Sennheiser devices support digital audio up to 24-bit/96kHz, which provides better detail and clarity than normal compressed audio. According to the company, Sennheiser CX 80U offers balanced and slightly punchy sound, whereas Sennheiser HD 400U focuses more on bass.
The USB-C interface provides a direct digital connection, ensuring consistent audio output across devices. The CX 80U comes with an in-ear design with passive noise isolation, three sizes of ear tips for a better fit, and balanced sound tuning, while the HD 400U comes with a closed-back over-ear design, better sound isolation, bass-forward tuning, lightweight design, detachable cable, and a carry pouch. Both headphones have an in-line remote and MEMS microphone, allowing users to take calls, control music and access voice assistants.
