Weather Forecast: According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the effect of extreme heat continues in Delhi and many parts of North India and there is no possibility of any relief in it for the next two days. The temperature remains continuously above normal.

According to the data of the Meteorological Department, no significant change was recorded in the maximum and minimum temperatures in the capital in the last 24 hours. During this period, the minimum temperature remained between 24 to 27 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature remained between 43 to 45 degrees Celsius.

No change likely for two days

In many areas the temperature remained at normal levels, while in some areas it was recorded 1.6 to 3.0 degrees Celsius above normal. IMD has issued an advisory in view of the heatwave and advised people to remain alert. According to the department, there is no possibility of major change in the temperature in Delhi for the next two days, although after April 28, there may be a slight drop due to the influence of easterly winds.

Heatwave in Delhi for the third consecutive day

According to today’s forecast, the minimum temperature is likely to be 26 to 28 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is likely to be 43 to 45 degrees Celsius. Also, the wind speed can range from 20 to 25 km per hour. The sky may remain partly cloudy and dusty winds are also expected in some areas.

Heatwave conditions persist in the capital for the third consecutive day, which may continue till Monday (April 27). The Meteorological Department has advised children and the elderly to be especially cautious. People have been advised to wear light cotton clothes, cover their heads while going out in the sun and drink adequate amount of water. An appeal has also been made not to leave the house unnecessarily.
