Actress Anugraha S. Nambiar from Malayalam cinema has made grave accusations against Vijay Kumar, his spouse Nakshatra Murthy, and the creators of the Tamil web series Resort. She claims they engaged in cheating, failed to pay her, and subjected her to mental harassment. In a series of videos posted on social media, Anugraha expressed that the ordeal left her emotionally devastated and financially burdened. Her statements have raised significant concern online, particularly as she described reaching a breaking point due to the alleged mistreatment. Other actresses have also rallied in support of her.

In her video, Anugraha revealed that she entered into a one-year agreement with the production house Global Villagers for the series Resort. Hailing from a small village in Kerala, she mentioned that she had to audition multiple times in Chennai, with assurances that she was close to landing a lead role. However, she alleged that despite her contractual obligations, she was not called for any shoots for several months. Additionally, she claimed that an exclusivity clause in her contract barred her from pursuing other acting opportunities.
As time progressed, Anugraha stated that her situation deteriorated, particularly in the last few months, leaving her without work or income. She accused the production team of failing to pay her as stipulated in the contract. The combination of unemployment and financial strain led to immense pressure, severely affecting her mental health.

Furthermore, Anugraha alleged that she endured disrespectful comments and behavior from Vijay Kumar and his wife. She recounted a troubling incident during her hospital stay, where inappropriate remarks were made regarding her condition. "She told my friend, who took me to the hospital, to either marry me or ask me to do the series," Anugraha claimed. The stress and alleged mistreatment took a toll on her health, leading to complications such as epilepsy. Anugraha described feeling mentally, physically, and financially incapacitated due to her experiences, stating that at one point, she was driven to contemplate suicide.
Support for her allegations came from fellow actress Malavika Sreenath, who shared her own experiences in the comments of Anugraha's video. Malavika mentioned that she had also attended numerous auditions for the same project at her own cost and faced similar challenges. She claimed that the team made inflated promises regarding lead roles and pressured actors by suggesting that many others were vying for the same opportunity. Ultimately, she decided to withdraw from the project due to negative feelings about the working environment and expressed her solidarity with Anugraha.
